Barry Seltzer is considered one of Ontario's leading experts in the areas of estate planning and estate administration. He is credited with having developed a unique, value-based multi-disciplinary approach for these areas of law.

Born and raised in Montreal, Barry attended Concordia University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. At the University of Montreal, Barry pursued a postgraduate degree in science. A concurrent interest in law drew him to McGill University where he received a Bachelor of Law degree graduating with honors. Barry completed the articling portion of his legal training in Toronto, where he was called to the Ontario Bar in 1981.

Barry is the author of the highly acclaimed book, "No One Should Have an Unplanned Death", which is a clear, insightful guide to estate planning using his unique approach to this area of law.

A sought after media personality, Barry has appeared on Canada AM, Eye on Toronto, Breakfast Television and the Dini Petty Show. Barry is the former host of "Law, Lawyers and You" and "The Law Show" for Roger's Cable and is a featured guest on City TV's CP24 and Bravo. His expertise has led to hundreds of radio interviews from around the world.






Anne Freed, B.A. (Hons), J.D. LL.M (A.D.R.)

Anne Freed is a family law lawyer, as well as a skilled mediator, who helps her clients resolve their disputes with their personal and economic dignity intact. Although she has extensive experience and skill in litigation, Anne is an active proponent of and has extensive training and experience in non-adversarial legal processes for family law.

Anne offers her clients a Menu of Divorce and Separation Processes, including Collaborative Family Law, Mediation, Traditional Negotiation and Arbitration.

Equipped with 30 years experience in Family Law, Anne deeply understands the legal system and the way other lawyers think. She believes in keeping clients informed and educating them about the legal issues they are facing. Most importantly, she works to reach a settlement that is fair, and in the best interests of her clients and their children.

Anne's Services include the Negotiation and Preparation of Separation Agreements, Separation Agreements for Common law marriage, Marriage Contracts ("pre-nups"), Cohabitation Agreements, Obtaining a Divorce and Estate Mediation.

Anne was called to the bar of Ontario in 1981, and has a BA (Honours Sociology) from McGill University, Montreal, a Juris Doctor (Law Degree) from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Laws Degree(ADR) from Osgoode Law School, York University, Toronto, as well as advanced training in Mediation, Arbitration and Collaborative Practice.

Anne recently formed and leads her own Collaborative Practice Study Group of lawyers, financial professionals and mental health professionals, in order to support the development of Collaborative Practice in Toronto at the highest possible level.
